The T10S is a powered active subwoofer designed to complement the T Series range of monitors. By extending system capability and overall utility for mixing and playback, it embodies the same T Series’ philosophy of providing compelling performance across all use-cases and supports the rest of the family in its mission to welcome a new generation of producers, musicians, songwriters, content creators and music lovers to the ADAM Audio ecosystem.
In hardware terms, the T10S offers a high performance, 10” downward-firing woofer, linked to a powerful ferrite magnet system, itself driven by an inbuilt 130-Watt Class D amplifier. This is mounted in a solidly engineered cabinet which incorporates an ingenious discrete bass port. The entire housing was carefully designed to provide extended low frequency response while avoiding vibration or resonance. In addition to this, the construction has been optimised for space efficiency, making T10S among the most compact subwoofers in its category.
With its focus on core functionality and delivering maximum quality and performance, the T10S offers a simple and elegant user interface, combining the key inputs that both professionals and consumers alike are looking for. This includes balanced XLR inputs for connection to audio interfaces and other studio equipment, plus unbalanced RCA inputs for connecting other devices. Additionally, users can benefit from the switchable crossover and onboard phase switch for room-based optimisation.
Like the T Series monitors, T10S offers compelling appeal to a broad range of applications based on a foundation of strong, accurate sound reproduction. Professional audio for all purposes.
10” Downward-firing Bass Driver
The T10S utilizes a specialized low frequency woofer with rigid and highly responsive performance characteristics. The pulp fibre cone construction achieves light weight and high stiffness, and with its taught nature, well-damped suspension and high-excursion surround, the T10S’ bass driver delivers healthy SPL output with stunningly accurate, clean and well-controlled low end.
130 Watt RMS Class D Amplifier
At its heart, the T10S features a specially chosen PWM (pulse width modulation) amplifier. This allows it to reach high SPLs of up to 104 dB and works in tandem with the driver configuration to underpin the subwoofer’s remarkable performance. The class D design of this amp means the T10S stays cool even when running at high output levels. In addition to this, the electronics feature built in thermal and peak limiters, as well as a helpful auto-standby feature which can also detect input signals and automatically wake the unit.
Robust cabinet construction
The T Series was designed to offer the most solid, dependable and accurate platform for audio reproduction. This is evidenced by the resonance-free cabinet construction using heavy thickness MDF and a durable matt-textured overlay. The design language is consistent with the brand’s utilitarian aesthetic, employing signature bevelled edges and sharp lines.
The front panel offers a discrete power indicator LED and around the back users will find the all-metal backplate with its clear layout and tactile controls, as well as a cleverly integrated slot-shaped bass port. To finish, the T10S sits on top of four solid rubber feet, made from a specialist grade of rubber, selected for its optimal acoustic isolation and mechanical grip properties across a range of surfaces. These carefully chosen materials combine to deliver the T10S’s premium look and feel, clearly denoting it as an unmistakeably ADAM Audio product.
Room adaptation acoustic controls
The backplate provides users with a simple and intuitive means to tune the subwoofer’s output according to the user’s environment and/or taste. Among other controls, the T10S features a switchable crossover which allows the sub to be tailored to the performance of the monitors in the chain, while an integrated phase switch enables further optimisation for flexible positioning of the unit. These adjustments can be performed without measurements or software, ideal for first-time users or those who are short on time and looking for a quick and simple calibration solution.
Balanced and Unbalanced Analogue Inputs
The T10S features both balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA line inputs, allowing a broad range of analogue connections across professional and consumer devices. In addition to this, an input for a bypass footswitch is also included, underlining the T Series premise of being both flexible and functional.
