That’s right. When you choose a payment plan with AMS, your information stays with us, and your payments stay with us. You don’t even have to open a new credit card or line of credit.
Because of our in-house approach to payment plans, we can offer much higher approval rates than nearly any other retailer.
For every payment plan except the 18-pay, the process for setting up your payment plans is as easy as clicking a button. Upon checkout, just choose the payment plan you want. AMS offers five different payment plan options:
Each option splits your payment into equal monthly installments. The 4-pay spreads payments over four months, the 6-pay over six months, and so on. It’s not like figuring out music theory or anything.
Once you choose your payment option, simply input your credit card information or use the one associated with your AMS profile and complete the checkout. We’ll ship your goodies right out right away.
Every 31 days, we’ll run the same amount on your card until the payment is complete. That way, there’s no need to worry about additional late penalties if you miss a payment.
And just because we love our customers, we even spread the tax and shipping (if applicable) across the payments as well, making getting the gear you need to create music that much more affordable.
For longer payment plans, like the 8-pay and 12-pay, we do require a credit check. But since we manage our payment plans in house, we can get that approval back to you VERY quickly — and there’s a good chance you’re going to be approved.
Price range: $49 – $1,250
Split your payment, plus any applicable taxes and shipping costs, into four equal installments automatically charged to your credit card every 31 days. You can use the AMS 4-pay on orders between $49 and $1,250. AMS 4-pay plans are completely interest-free and don’t require a credit check. There will, however, be a one-time $6.95 application fee.
If you want to keep your monthly payments low, you can choose the “Put More Down” option at checkout to pay more upfront on your first payment. Whatever you pay up front will be deducted from your payment plan. You can also call the AMS Sales Team at 1-800-458-4076 to set up an AMS 4-pay plan on orders above $1,250.
Price range: $99 – $1,250
The 6-pay works the same as the 4-pay but for higher order amounts between $99 and $1,250, but it spreads your payments over a longer timeframe. AMS 6-pay is
also completely interest-free and requires no credit check. All you have to pay is a one-time $13.95 application fee.
You can reduce your monthly payment by choosing the “Put More Down” option at checkout. The more you pay up front, the lower your monthly payments will be. You can also use AMS 6-pay for orders higher than $1,250 by calling an AMS Sales Agent.
Price range: $299 – $3,000
If you’re looking for that super nice piece of gear that comes with a higher price tag between $299 and $3,000, you can still take advantage of our industry-leading in-house payment plans with AMS 8-pay.
Just like the other payment plans, this will split your order, along with any taxes and shipping costs, into eight equal installments charged to your credit card every 31 days. And you still don’t have to worry about any interest or additional fees besides a small, one-time $16.95 application fee.
While you don’t have to open a new account or line of credit, there is a required credit check for AMS 8-pay payment plans. We handle all credit checks and all your information completely in-house, so you don’t have to worry about leaks or getting crazy spam calls because we sold your information. It all stays right here. Plus, we’ll get back to you quickly to let you know if you’re approved — which is very likely.
Just like the other payment plans, you can also choose to pay more upfront with the “Put More Down” option at checkout to keep you monthly payments nice and low. You can also call the AMS Sales Team to use 8-pay for orders over $3,000.
Price range: $599 – $3,000
Need to stretch your payments just a little bit farther — like over the course of an entire year? We can help with AMS’s longest in-house payment plan option: AMS 12-pay.
You know the drill. We take your order with a total between $599 and $3,000, along with any applicable taxes and shipping fees, and spread it over 12 equal payments charged to your credit card every 31 days. No interest. No new lines of credit. Ever. Just a one-time $24.95 application fee.
Because of the longer term of the AMS 12-pay this plan does require a credit check. But this is still an in-house payment plan option — the longest in the industry.
Want to lower your monthly payments? Just choose the “Put More Down” option at checkout. The more you pay upfront, the lower your monthly payments. You can also use the AMS 12-pay for orders above $3,000 by calling our friendly Sales Agents. They’d really love to hear from you.
Price range: $999 – $20,000
Want to take your payment plans beyond one year? We partnered with Affirm to offer an incredible 18-pay on orders between $999 all the way up to $20,000.
Affirm plans are similar to AMS payment plans. Your total order balance, along with any taxes and shipping fees, are spread evenly over 18 months with 0% APR or additional fees. The only difference is that these payments are made through Affirm, which is a third-party financing company. You will need to open an account with them and get a credit check.

Yes. The upper price range of each payment plan is the credit limit. For example, if you purchase something on a 4-pay plan, the most you can put on that plan is $1,250. The most you can put on a 12-pay plan is $3,000.
You also can’t exceed these limits with multiple plans. For instance, you can’t have an existing 4-pay plan for $800 and try to buy $700 of gear with a new 4-pay plan. That would equal $1,500, which if you pull out your calculator, would be $250 over the credit limit.
Yes. There’s no penalty for paying early.
