When played out of its integrated hollow sound chamber, the ES Banjitar offers an excellent banjo tone without needing additional amplification. This makes it great for practice sessions, open mic nights, or even home concerts with friends.
Plus, its unique design allows for scaled down hammer-ons, pull-offs and slides in much less time than a traditional 5-string does - so you’ll be shredding off some strikingly authentic riffs in no time at all! Only a few years ago, a 6-string banjo would have been considered a 'cheater' banjo for guitarists, but today it is well accepted as its own instruments and you will hear the 6-string banjo in many genres of popular music!
The ES-Banjitar features an 8" tone ring and banjo head, dual pickup configuration with a stacked humbucker in the neck position and a hidden humbucking pickup beneath the banjo head in the bridge position, volume and tone controls, Straightline tailpiece, mahogany body, maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, and low string action. The ES-Banjitar has a scale length of 25-1/2" and uses standard ball-end guitar strings. Final assembly and complete setup performed at the Gold Tone Factory in Florida.
