New Gen Neck System + Improved Instrument Balance
The V7 New Gen introduces a revised neck profile that improves playability and consistency across production. This is paired with Edgeless rolled fretboard edges and stainless steel fretwire for durability and reduced long-term maintenance. Lightweight aluminum machine heads reduce headstock mass, improving balance and reducing neck-dive risk—addressing a common buyer concern on previous generations. Luminlay side dot markers improve visibility for stage use.
Updated Electronics Architecture and Pickup Tuning
The V7 New Gen uses the Marcus Super-J Revolution pickup set with revised voicing for improved clarity, note separation, and dynamic response. The Marcus Heritage-3 preamp now features a simplified, smoother-operating control layout with push/pull active–passive switching. This removes unnecessary complexity while retaining full tonal flexibility through the mid-frequency control.
Expanded Variants with Improved Weight Consistency
The New Gen lineup adds roasted maple neck options and expanded finish/fingerboard combinations while maintaining tighter weight consistency across production. This addresses prior weight variability concerns and improves predictability for dealer inventory planning.
