The Ampeg SVT-810AV is a world-famous bass powerhouse!
Today's updated reissue Anniversary models offer the same soul-shaking vintage tone in traditional and contemporary options. The all-tube SVT-AV is the direct descendant of the original, but with new twists like an input gain and master volume, a five-position mid frequency selector to fine-tune your critical midrange, and incredible tube protection circuitry. The matching SVT-810AV and SVT-410AV enclosures employ the same driver technology that make Ampeg enclosures the number one name in speakers. Dimensions: 48 x 26 x 16 inches, 165 lbs.

This is the speaker enclosure people mean when they say SVT speaker cabinet. It’s all about tone. Other than the color scheme, it is identical to the original SVT-810.

    Ampeg SVT-810AV Features
    • Tilt Back Handle Bar
    • 1/4 inch and Neutrik Speakon Jacks
    • Baltic Birch Plywood
    • Heavy-Duty Recessed Wheels
    • Skid rails
    • SVT-AV Head Color-Scheme
    • Protective Skid Rails
    • Stereo or Mono Operation
Why eight 10 inch speakers? We learned early on that 10 inch speakers work much more efficiently than fifteens or eighteens—and if you put eight 10 inch speakers together, you can move a huge column of air. You’d need five 18 inch or six 15 inch speakers to move as much air as the SVT-810AV! And they simply wouldn’t be able to respond to transient peaks as quickly as our tens.

The SVT-810AV is still manufactured using the same design dating all the way back to 1969. The Infinite Baffle design of these sealed enclosures produces vast amounts of tightly focused bass. That’s why you’ll find the SVT-810AV on stage with such artists as Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band), Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Gwen Stefani Band), Garry Beers (INXS), and far too many others to list here. In the world of high performance bass cabs, the Ampeg SVT-810AV stands tall and proud.

When the Rolling Stones toured in the late sixties and early seventies, the world was exposed to a new technology - the Super Valve Technology or the SVT. Since then, bass players recognize the unmistakable Ampeg sound - 300 watts of pure tube power exciting eight 10 inch drivers. The sonic result is a foundation of solid lows, cutting mids, and satisfying highs.
