The MicroBoom can be used with any of the microphones in The Micros series providing a broad selection of pick-up patterns, output levels and frequency responses. A high quality shielded cable is used internally to insure the cleanest audio signal path between the microphone and the bottom of the boom. The stand adapter offers total control over the angle, rotation and position of the carbon fiber rod by way of a flexible metal gooseneck. The MicroBoom provides an ultra-clean, professional and elegant appearance on stage while providing exceptional performance and portability.
The M1250B, despite its size, has all the attributes of a world class recording microphone. Low noise integrated electronics allows the microphone to function in the close field as well as in distance miking. It can be used on a wide variety of acoustics instruments as well as on voice and vocal ensembles.
Cardioid: The cardioid pattern is the most widely used as it offers a good balance between the sound of the instrument or voice within the context of the room or venue. For instruments, the M1250B may be positioned anywhere from 3 - 12 inches depending on instrument and room acoustics. For speech or singe voice the typical working distance is 8 - 10 inches. For area miking or group vocals the working distance can be between 2 - 3 feet from the sound source.
The MicroBoom is a modular system and simple to use. The microphone attaches to the mini-XLR connector at the end of the gooseneck. To release and remove the microphone from the connector, simply push the black button on the side of the miniXLR and pull the microphone off.
