Not all splitters are transformer-isolated, which causes impedance mismatching and signal degradation with every signal split. The PBR XSplit8 features a purpose-built Black Lion Audio transformer for superior isolation and minimal signal loss on every ISO output. Output impedance is retained, and signal levels are consistent and predictable.
Transformer-isolated outputs provide peace of mind by preventing accidental damage to delicate equipment.Only the direct outputs carry phantom power, while the transformer-isolated outputs strictly carry the audio signal, ensuring no voltage is accidentally sent to sensitive gear. This is especially useful during live shows where a front of house engineer may accidentally send phantom power to places it shouldn’t go.
The eight front Direct outputs pass the unaffected original mic signal straight through. And with ground lift switches per input, you’ll eliminate unwanted ground loops with ease.
