The Debut 100Rs are simple and elegant amplifiers. Ideal for pedal players, the Debut 100Rs focus on tone and usability, rather than unwanted ‘bells and whistles’. These versatile amps are perfect for guitar players of all levels, whether jamming in a bedroom, practicing in a small room, or performing on stage.
Featuring a discrete MOSFET preamp, patented ISF tone control, digital reverb, Line input, speaker emulated Line output, series effects loop, power reduction and two footswitchable channels the Debut 100Rs are the perfect choice for practice, recording, and gigging and the ideal tool for guitarists seeking simplicity, power, and tone in an analogue package. The Debut 100R comes as 1x12 and 2x12 combos.
The overdrive channel is based on our award-winning St. James 6L6 overdrive – a modern British valve overdrive. The clean channel is based on our revered HT-20R MkIII’s clean sound, with lots of headroom that breaks up naturally when pushed hard – great as a pedal platform. The DEBUT 100R also has a fully specified speaker emulated line output allowing you to easily get amazing tone straight to tape or disk, or through headphones. Add to this a Line Input, allowing you to jam along to your favorite tracks, and effects loop and Plate / Hall Reverb and you have everything you need for practicing, recording, or playing live.
MOSFET Technology
To deliver the natural sounding response of a valve amp, our design team implemented a discrete MOSFET preamp. Overdrive characteristics of MOSFETs are similar to those of valves. Our R&D team have gone beyond other manufacturer’s MOSFET designs to deliver a preamp that is virtually indistinguishable from the chosen valve references.
The lightweight MOSFET is designed to react to pedals like a traditional valve amp. Coupled with the high headroom design these amps are the perfect pedal platform.
Patented ISF Tone Control
The patented ISF (Infinite Shape Feature) circuit gives you infinite adjustment over the characteristics of the tone control network and takes you from the USA to the UK and anywhere in between. So now you can effectively design your own tone and find ‘the sound in your head’.
Clean & Overdrive Channels
2 footswitchable channels (2-way footswitch sold separately), both based on Blackstar’s award-winning valve products. The clean channel is voiced around the HT Series with a “Bright” switch and tons of headroom. The overdrive channel is voiced around the St. James 6L6 which can achieve everything from blues and classic rock, all the way through to metal tones. Great valve tone recreation has been at the core of the design of the Debut 100R.
Silent Practice
When you need to cut the volume, hook yourself up to the Debut 100R’s headphone/recording output with the incredibly detailed, natural speaker simulation. The Debut 100R’s convenient headphone/recording output simulates the tonal characteristics of a guitar speaker cabinet, providing organic tones for silent practice or direct home recording.
Power Reduction
The Debut 100R retains the power reduction switch from the Debut 50R, allowing the user to take the amp from a full 100W down to 5W and play at lower volumes without sacrificing any of the tone.
Footswitchable Channels
Dual Footswitch control for channel switching between clean and overdrive and enabling/disabling Reverb, allowing for great versatility with your tone all with a 2-way footswitch (sold separately).
