The 30th Anniversary Distressor packs more color than ever with its Triad HS-56 input transformer and carefully selected discrete components; both of which help to add beautiful harmonics, most notable on low-end and sub-frequency content. In addition to the EL8-X’s Brit Mode and Stereo Image Link features, the EL8-XXX also boasts a beautiful, limited-edition red faceplate.These units will only be in production for 2026, making them a must for fans of the classic compressor.
All EL8-XXX models come packaged with a Certificate of Authenticity, as well as an updated user manual covering its new features.
This Limited Edition of the EL8 Distressor includes all of the upgraded features found on the EL8-X (Stereo Image Link and Brit Mode), now coupled with the award-winning Triad HS-56 transformer at the input stage, known for its ability to add clarity and “size” to sub content. In addition to saturation and color, this transformer also greatly reduces input impedance to 600 ohms. Lastly, different discrete components were selected allowing the XXX model to saturate earlier than the classic EL8.
