The Taylor PS14ce Urban Ironbark acoustic electric guitar combines art and function in one of the most visually stunning acoustic electric guitars on the market. The PS14ce Urban Ironbark starts with Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape, the most versatile body shape in the Taylor lineup. The PS14ce then adds a unique, premium tonewood combination, Urban Ironbark for the back and sides and a stripy Sinker Redwood for the top. Urban Ironbark evokes the tonal response of Smoked Eucalyptus, with a clear, full midrange, and sparkling top end shimmer, and a full, strident midrange. Add in the Sinker Redwood top and you get a warm response like cedar but with more power and headroom.
The PS14ce is a work of modern art, featuring California vine pau shell inlays on the fingerboard, bridge, headstock, and pickguard. Ebony binding with pau shell treatment adorns the top, back, sides, fingerboard, and headstock edges. The PS14ce is finished with pau shell single ring rosette with bound sound hole, shaded edgeburst finish on the top, back, and sides, and Gotoh 510 Antique Gold tuning machines. The patented Taylor neck joint ensures optimum playability and intonation while the award winning ES2 electronics make the PS14ce stage and recording ready. The PS14ce ships in a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case.
