The Taylor PS54ce acoustic electric 12 string fuses decorative art and function in the most visually stunning 12 string acoustic electric guitar highlighting premium tonewoods that make this 12 string sound as good as it looks. The PS54ce starts with Taylor’s Grand Auditorium body shape, the most versatile body shape in the Taylor lineup.
The PS54ce then adds an iconic, premium tonewood combination, Honduran rosewood for the back and sides and Adirondack Spruce for the top. Honduran Rosewood evokes the tonal response of Brazilian Rosewood, with a deep, lush low end, sparkling top end shimmer, and a full, strident midrange. Add in the Adirondack Spruce top and you get a super high strength to weight ratio wood that allows for greater power and headroom. The PS54ce is a work of modern art, featuring California vine pau shell inlays on the fingerboard, bridge, headstock, and pickguard. Ebony binding with pau shell treatment adorns the top, back, sides, fingerboard, and headstock edges.
The PS54ce is finished with pau shell single ring rosette with bound sound hole, shaded edgeburst finish on the back and sides, and Gotoh 510 Antique Gold mini tuning machines. The patented Taylor neck joint ensures optimum playability and intonation while the award winning ES2 electronics make the PS54ce stage and recording ready. The PS54ce ships in a Taylor Deluxe Hardshell Case.
